Songs for David

Music has a way of pulling out all the feelings in your heart and allowing you to grieve and remember. I'd like to share two songs with you that I've been listening to that will always remind me of my brother David.

This song is Stay by Little Big Town. It was played after my brother's memorial service while they showed pictures of him growing up. I had never heard it before, but it perfectly mirrors my feelings.

This song is Tonight I Wanna Cry by Keith Urban.

Thank you again to everyone who has sent words of comfort in emails or a comment on my blog. They mean more to me than I could ever say...

Dear Katrina,

I came to your blog to thank you for the gifts that you donated to the Mystery Sock KAL. I got my package that you and Amanda put together. I love it. I'll be posting pics and a big thank you on my blog soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your memories of your brother David. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. You're in my thoughts, and I'll think of you as I'm knitting and then some more. I hope you find some comfort in your knitting. I know that knitting helps me when I don't know what to do in life.

Yours, the Lone Knitter

I have three girls and then a boy just like your family. I cannot imagine the gi-normous hole that would be left if the girls ever lost their precious "buster". He is like the crown jewel of our estrogen-soaked family. My heart goes out to you. What beautiful songs those are. They really express the emotions well.

Love you

What amazing songs. They express those kind of emotions so well. I had to pull out the kleenex. I feel for you. I can't say I know exactly what it feels like but I pray that God will comfort you.
