Is this what they mean by yarn barf?

The baby was quiet. Too quiet. Not the peaceful pleasant quiet that comes when he finally falls asleep. No, this was a sinister quiet. The kind that all mothers dread.

I went searching for Sproutie and what did I find? Who, me? It wasn't me, mama. And I am left with the carnage as he moves on to new discoveries. It's a good thing for me that unlike a lot of other areas in my life, I have infinite patience for disentangling yarn knots. It's a good thing for Sproutie, too.

I am all too familiar with the silence that ends in yarn barf.
But how can you be mad at such a cute face?

Yeah, I've had my share of yarn barf to deal with. I'm with mamma, you just can't be mad at somebody that cute. You have to admit that fondling yarn IS pretty fun. Who could blame him?

I don't have a problem with untangling yarn- MOST of the time. I had some plain cotton yarn that was just IN LOVE with itself and every time more than two inches got off the skein it was wrapped in tight knots around itself. It wouldn't stay in a ball. It just dissolved into a pile of knots. GRRR! I think there is a whole bag of that (which looks surprisingly like your yarn barf, even the same color) that I just refuse to even look at.

Eeeewwwwww. . .

While I haven't had to deal with yarn barf around here, I have had WIPs flung off the couch (and their needles) when I carelessly left them there. Oh, and there was the Zorro incident . . . .

Yup! Been there! It's always hard to interrupt them, though, when they're leaving you alone for five minutes. Why is it that they're never sitting quietly, looking at a book or something?
