Tam Wins Again

Congratulations to Tam for winning the movie line contest from Defending Your Life. But are you turning down chocolate? This is highly irregular. Was the chocolate bar I sent earlier *gasp* yucky? I would hate it if you didn’t like your prize. Would you like another kind of chocolate treat, or random knitting pattern or something? It hardly seems fair to not get a prize. Let me know what you prefer.

The new movie line up for consideration is this:

"There's going to be some serious rue-age"

Good luck, my pretties.

In knitting news, I bought some fantastic yarn today to make a hat for MovieMan, fabulous nephew who lives in the frigid midwest.border="0" />

This is Noro Silk Garden (45% Silk, 45% Kid Mohair, 10% Lamb's Wool). Just look at that colorway. I can't wait to knit this up.

What did you say? Am I not working on the Garnstudio cardigan? Of course I am. But you know how easily my head is turned by scrumptious new yarn. It's strange how unfaithful I am to knitting projects considering how committed I am to everything else in my life. I so wish that I could have learned to knit at least 10 years ago. Think of all the projects I could have completed by now! I honestly feel like I will never get all the knitting done that I want to do before I die. But rest assured, I'm certainly going to try.

Ah, yes! (sigh) The lure of Noro Silk garden. I'm in the throes of it right now myself. I'm making "Klaralund" from Cornelia (something) Hamilton's second Noro book. It is just delicious.

Thanks for your concern about my chocolate prize. haha I have to admit, I did hand it off to THE MAN. I don't do peanut butter. That's not why I said you didn't have to send anything, though. I just like the challenge of guessing and the prize doesn't really matter. If you were to twist my arm, though I'd probably say, "Send M&Ms". (grin)

P.S. What's "Jamba Juice"?

Oh, now you've done it. You mentioned one of my greatest weaknesses, Jamba Juice. This is a chain fruit smoothie place, in the likes of Cinnabon. This sinful place has locations in 25 of the 50 states. You can find out more about the menu and locations on their website, www.jambajuice.com. Some people have their Starbucks coffee, some people have cigarettes. My vice is Jamba Juice. I would seriously have two or three a day if I could but afford it. My absolute favorite is the Peach Pleasure (peach juice, peaches, bananas, orange sherbet) though I have been known to imbibe the blutopia now and then (soymilk, blueberries, nonfat frozen yogurt). I have a serious problem, but at least I'm owning up to it. They say that's the first step of recovery, but I'm not interested in recovering from this.

By the way, I couldn't resist casting on for the hat made of Noro Silk Garden. I was so mesmerized by all the colors that I wanted to see how they came up on the needles. I'm just doing a basic hat with a seed stitch band. The Count walked by and saw me working on it, and he now of course wants one. Actually, it would be my pleasure. This has been a nice diversion from the lovely cardigan that I will get back to in the next couple days, I promise.

Oh, and if it's M&M's you want, M&M's you shall have.

Ah, now I see. No Jamba Juice places anywhere near me which is probably best. It sounds like a just as addictive though healthier relative of one of my passions- Starbucks' Vanilla Bean Blended Creme. No coffee in it, just vanilla, icy goodness. I don't know how many calories it has and I do not want to know. I just know that it is "A HECK OF A LOT" so that, along with the price, keeps my habit in check.

Now Noro yarn, sigh, that's a serious addiction. We joke at my S&B night that we stay up all night knitting just to see what color it turns next. What they don't know is that I'm NOT JOKING! Yes, admitting that you're addicted is the first step to recovering- I'll stick with denial. haha

Is is pirates of the carribean?

Hi Stephny, Thanks for guessing, but that's not it. If I were to use a line from Pirates of the Caribbean, I would definitely use something funnier than that. Think of a movie not quite as recent, but that you've definitely seen. I will give more hints at a later time if this one gets too hard.
